The Ragroof Players disbanded on 31 December 2018, ending a highly successful twelve-year run of working together on street theatre shows, site-responsive performances, and community-engaged projects, which have included: Bridges y Puentes, Happy Feet, Shall We Dance, The Ragroof Tea Dance, and a large number of community-specific commissions over the years. The four directors continue working on other projects (link to contacts page).
The company toured the UK with these projects:
A hundred years of dance crazes in a hundred minutes! The Ragroof Players participatory show, Happy Feet, in which a team of fabulous DJs and dancers took you on a non-stop dance-a-thon through the decades.
BRIDGES Y PUENTES
A show about migration, the search for home, and the intermingling of music and dance cultures. Bridges has previously been performed in multi-storey car parks and other transient/disused spaces.
SHALL WE DANCE? ENCORE!
which explores the history and social mores of partner dancing, and can be performed indoors or outdoors
OUR DANCING FEET
